Body Outside Moulding: Installation
- CLEAN BODY MOUNTING SURFACE
- Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40-60 °C (104- 140 °F).NOTE: Do not heat the body excessively.
- Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
- Wipe off stains with cleaner.
- Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40-60 °C (104- 140 °F).
- If reusing the moulding:
CLEAN MOULDING
- Using a heat light, heat the moulding to 20-30 °C (68 -86 °F).NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
- Remove the adhesive tape from the moulding.
- Wipe off stains with cleaner.
- Apply a new adhesive tape to the moulding as shown in the illustration.
- Using a heat light, heat the moulding to 20-30 °C (68 -86 °F).
- INSTALL MOULDING
- Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
Body: 40-60 °C (104-140 °F)
Moulding: 20-30 °C (68-86 °F)
NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively. - Lift the moulding release sheet from face of the moulding.NOTE: Before installing the moulding release sheet, make sure that there is no dirt or dust can get on the adhesive surface of the moulding.
- Front fender outside moulding:
Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body, and press firmly on the moulding.
NOTE: Do not apply excessive force on to the moulding, but steady pressure with thumbs. - Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
