Body Outside Moulding: Installation

  1. CLEAN BODY MOUNTING SURFACE 
    1. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40-60 °C (104- 140 °F).
      NOTE: Do not heat the body excessively.
    2. Remove the adhesive tape from the body.
    3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.

  2. If reusing the moulding: 

    CLEAN MOULDING 

    1. Using a heat light, heat the moulding to 20-30 °C (68 -86 °F).
      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    2. Remove the adhesive tape from the moulding.
    3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
    4. Apply a new adhesive tape to the moulding as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL MOULDING 
    1. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.

      Body: 40-60 °C (104-140 °F) 

      Moulding: 20-30 °C (68-86 °F) 

      NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
    2. Lift the moulding release sheet from face of the moulding.
      NOTE: Before installing the moulding release sheet, make sure that there is no dirt or dust can get on the adhesive surface of the moulding.
    3. Front fender outside moulding:

      Align the bosses with their corresponding holes in the body, and press firmly on the moulding.

    NOTE: Do not apply excessive force on to the moulding, but steady pressure with thumbs.
