Rear Wheel Alignment: Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Toyota Sienna. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. INSPECT TIRE (See  INSPECTION  )
  2. MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT (See  FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT  )
NOTE: Before inspecting the wheel alignment, adjust the vehicle height to the specified valve.
  3. INSPECT TOE-IN

    Toe-in:

    TOE-IN SPECIFICATIONS

2WD DRIVE TYPE Tire size Toe-in (total)
    215/65R 16 A + B: 0°15' +/- 17' (0.25° +/- 0.28°) C - D: 2.7 +/- 3.0 mm (0.11 +/- 0.12 in.)
    225/60R 17 A + B: 0°15' +/- 17' (0.25° +/- 0.28°) C - D: 2.8 +/- 3.0 mm (0.11 +/- 0.12 in.)
4WD DRIVE TYPE TIRE SIZE SPECIFICATIONS

4WD DRIVE TYPE Tire size Toe-in (total)
    225/60R 17 A + B: 0°07' +/- 17' (0.12° +/- 0.28°) C - D: 1.3 +/- 3.0 mm (0.05 +/- 0.12 in.)

If the toe-in is not within the specified value, inspect the suspension parts and replace them if necessary.

  4. INSPECT CAMBER
    1. Install the camber-caster-kingpin gauge or position the vehicle on the wheel alignment tester.
    2. Inspect the camber.

    Camber:

    CAMBER SPECIFICATIONS

    2WD DRIVE TYPE: Camber Right-left error -1°22' +/- 30' (-1.37° +/- 0.5°) 30' (0.5°) or less

If the measured valve is not within the specified value, inspect the suspension parts for damage and/or wear and replace them if necessary because camber is not adjustable.
