Combination Meter: Pre-Check

  1. ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT:

    According to the ACTIVE TEST displayed by the hand-held tester, you can read the value of the switch, sensor, actuator and so on without parts removal. Performing the ACTIVE TEST as the first step of troubleshooting is one method to shorten work time.

    1. Warm up the engine.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    3. Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    5. Operate the hand-held tester according to the steps on the display and perform the "ACTIVE TEST".

  2. DATA LIST 

    HINT:

    According to the DATA LIST displayed by the hand-held tester, you can read the value of the switch, sensor, actuator and so on without parts removal. Reading the DATA LIST as the first step of troubleshooting is one method to shorten work time.

    1. Warm up the engine.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    3. Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    5. Operate the hand-held tester according to the steps on the display and select "DATA LIST".
