Inspection Procedure

HINT:

Check that there are no obstructions between the switch & volume assy and the infrared ray light emission portion of the television display assy.

CHECK BATTERY (SWITCH & VOLUME ASSY)
1. Check battery.
  1. Check that the dry-cell battery used for the switch & volume assy is not dead.
OK: It is not dead
1. NG: BATTERY IS DEAD
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CLEAN THE INFRARED RAYS RECEIVING PORTION
1. Clean the infrared rays receiving portion.
  1. Clean the infrared rays receiving portion on the television display assy.
  2. Check whether the same malfunction occurs.
  OK: The function returns to normal.

1. OK: NORMAL
2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
REPLACE SWITCH & VOLUME ASSY
OK: Malfunction disappears
1. OK: NORMAL
2. NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
