Inspection Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING HAND-HELD TESTER
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and turn the hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the item "SECURITY INDIC" in the ACTIVE TEST, and operate it with the hand-held tester.
- Check that the security indicator light blinks.
Standard:
The security indicator light blinks.
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (A/C CONTROL PANEL - TRANSPONDER KEY ECU)
- Disconnect the T20 ECU And A14 panel Connectors.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.STANDARD:
Tester connection Specified condition T20-8 (IND) - A14-10 (LP) Below 1 Ω T20-8 (IND) or A14-10 (LP) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go To Next Step.
- INSPECT TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY
- Reconnect the T20 ECU connectors.
- Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.
STANDARD:Tester Connection Condition Specified condition A14-10 (LP) - Body ground Security indicator light blinks or comes on 10 to 14 V NG: REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY
OK: REPLACE A/C AMPLIFIER ASSY (See OVERHAUL )
