Section 560 (Cooling System): Thermostat: Installation

INSTALL THERMOSTAT
1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
2. Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve facing up.

  HINT:
  
  The jiggle valve may be set within 10° on either side of the prescribed position.
INSTALL WATER INLET
1. Install the water inlet with the 2 nuts.
  Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
1. Connect the radiator hose outlet with the clamp.

INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install the No. 2 idler pulley cover plate and No. 2 idler pulley with the bolt.
  Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL RH
ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
