Section 577 (Charging): Generator: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH 
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH 
  6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See REMOVAL )
  12. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK HOSE  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  15. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  16. REMOVE FAN SHROUD  (See REMOVAL )
  17. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT  (See REMOVAL )
  18. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the terminal cap.
    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.
    3. Disconnect the generator connector from the generator assembly.

    4. Disconnect the connector from the compressor and magnetic clutch.
    5. Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts.

    7. Remove the bolt from the cylinder block.

    8. Disconnect the wire harness clamp and remove the generator assembly.
    9. Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp stay.

    10. Remove the bolt and bracket.
