Throttle W/Motor Body ASSY (2UZ-FE): Replacement

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT. See  COOLANT (2UZ-FE) (FROM AUGUST, 2003)  .
  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 cap nuts and V-bank cover sub-assy.
  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses (For P/S idle-up and for fuel pressure regulator) and ventilation hose.
    2. Remove the air cleaner hose assy.
  4. REMOVE THROTTLE W/MOTOR BODY ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the water by-pass hose, water by-pass hose No. 7 and the throttle position sensor connector.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
    3. Remove the throttle body and the throttle body gasket.
  5. INSTALL THROTTLE W/MOTOR BODY ASSY 
    1. Install the new gasket and throttle body with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
      1. Torque: 18 N.m (185 kgf. cm, 13 ft. lb) 
    2. Connect the water by-pass hose, water by-pass hose No. 7 and throttle position sensor connector.
  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSY 
  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT. See  COOLANT (2UZ-FE) (FROM AUGUST, 2003)  .
  8. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS. See  COOLANT (2UZ-FE) (FROM AUGUST, 2003)  .
  9. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSY 
    1. Install the V-bank cover sub-assy with 2 cap nuts.
      1. Torque: 7.5 N.m (80 kgf. cm, 66 in. lb)
