Inspection Procedure
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER
- Using the hand-held tester, check that unlock warning switch signal is output when the switch is operated.
Standard (Body ECU (Switch condition)):
MEASUREMENT ITEM/DISPLAY (RANGE) AND DIAGNOSTIC NOTEItem Measurement Item/Display (Range) Normal Condition Diagnostic Note KEY UNLK WRN SW Un-lock warning switch signal/ON or OFF ON: Key is in ignition key cylinder
OFF: No key is in ignition key cylinder- - OK: Go to step 4
- NG: Go To Next Step
- INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY
- Remove the unlock warning switch.
- Inspect the unlock warning switch continuity.
Standard:
TERMINAL NO AND CONDITION SPECIFICATIONTerminal No. Condition Specified Condition 1 <=> 2 Switch free
(Key removed)No continuity Switch pushed
(Key set)Continuity - NG: REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY
- OK: Go To Next Step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY --> INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY (BODY ECU))
- Disconnect the K3 unlock warning switch and B5 body ECU connectors.
- Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard (Check for open):

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY

OFF: Driver side door is closed- - OK: REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY
- NG: Go To Next Step
- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY Lamp SWITCH ASSY (DRIVER SIDE)
- Remove the courtesy lamp switch.
- Inspect the courtesy lamp switch continuity.
Standard:

- NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY Lamp SWITCH ASSY
- OK: Go To Next Step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR COURTESY Lamp SWITCH ASSY (DRIVER SIDE) <=> INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY (BODY ECU))
- Disconnect the D12 courtesy lamp switch and B4 body ECU connectors.
- Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard (Check for open):
