- DESCRIPTION
- General description
The LEXUS Night View System is a system that takes reflected lights of the Night View Projector and that of the headlight and surrounding light into the Night View Camera to make the strong images. This system assists the driver's view during night. The images are displayed on the front glass by a Night View Display.
HINT:
- The view may be different depending on the road conditions or the weather.
- Not all the matters are made as bright images. Whole screen may be dark or some parts are not easily seen.
- Since the sensitivity is adjusted for night use, this system makes the driver dazzled and difficult to see in the bright place such as the place where the headlights of the oncoming vehicles or the streetlights exist.
- Since the Night View Camera is installed on the front glass, the dirt on the glass (both inside and outside) could cause difficulty for viewing. Clean the camera lens if it gets dirty (See Night View Camera Cleaning Method).
When it is cold, using the heater in "FOOT" mode could cause mist on the upper part of the front glass. In this case, using "DEF" mode to clear the mist.
- When the Night View Projector has dirt on, it could be difficult to see.
- Night View Display adopts TFT display. For a character of TFT, the image turns dark when the temperature is low. However, it returns normal when the temperature becomes ordinary temperature (15-20°C (59-68°F)). In addition, the image also turns dark when the battery voltage is low.
- The range that the Night View Camera takes images.
The range that the Night View Camera takes images is shown below.
HINT:
The Night View Camera has an adjustment mechanism (for 3 directions; right and left, up and down, and rotation).
If the range that the Night View camera takes images is different from the range shown below, adjustment is required (See ADJUSTMENT ).
