Inspection Procedure
- FUNCTION CHECK
- Check that each function of the door mirror operates normally.
- NG: GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK MEMORY OF OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR
- Check that the memory function of the outer rear view mirror operates normally.
- NG: FLOW CHART 4 (See EITHER OF DRIVER OR PASSENGER POWER MIRROR CANNOT BE ADJUSTED MANUALLY (FLOW CHART 4) )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- FUNCTION CHECK
- Check that the driver's side seat memory function operates normally.
- NG: GO TO FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (See FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (W/MEMORY) )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- READ VALUE OF LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER
- Using the hand-held tester, check the rear outer view mirror operation by the data monitor.
D and P-door ECU
Standard:

- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR
- Check the continuity between each terminal of the outer rear view mirror.
Standard:

HINT:
- In case of the driver's side wire harness, proceed to OK-A.
- In case of the passenger's side wire harness, proceed to OK-B.
- If the driver's side outer rear view mirror malfunctions, proceed to NG-A.
- If the passenger's side outer rear view mirror malfunctions, proceed to NG-B.
- OK-A: CHECK AND REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK-B: CHECK AND REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT RH (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- NG-A: REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH
- NG-B: REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH
- Check the continuity between each terminal of the outer rear view mirror.
- READ VALUE OF LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER
- Using the hand-held tester, check the memorized driver and passenger door mirror positions by the data monitor.
Standard:
D and P-seat ECU

- If the door mirror does not face the memorized direction in spite of the fact that the specified conditions are fulfilled, proceed to A.
- If an item of PNP SW, N SW or VEHICLE SPD is not standard, proceed to B.
- B: GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM (See COMBINATION METER (2003 MY) )
- A: REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSY
- Using the hand-held tester, check the memorized driver and passenger door mirror positions by the data monitor.
