- CHECK DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE OF ECM (See

- Check that diagnostic trouble code B2799 is not output.
- OK: DTC B2799 (See DTC B2799 ENGINE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM MALFUNCTION )
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (IMMOBILIZER ECU (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY) (SWITCH CONDITION))
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Read the data monitor using the hand-held tester.
Standard:

- NG: GO TO KEY REMAINDER WARNING SYSTEM (See KEY REMINDER WARNING SYSTEM )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE OF TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY (See
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
- Check a DTC and note it down if a code is output.
- Delete the DTC.
- Check if the DTC will be output once again, when the problem symptom is simulated based on the noted code.
- Without an output of the code, proceed to A.
- With an output of the code, proceed to B.
- B: Go to step 8
