Power Steering Vane Pump: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT RETURN HOSE 

    Remove the clip and disconnect the return hose.

    NOTE: Take care not to spill fluid on the drive belt.
  2. REMOVE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the oil pressure switch from the union bolt.
    NOTE: Be careful not to drop the oil pressure switch.

    If the oil pressure switch is dropped or strongly damaged, replace it with a new one.

  3. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE 

    Remove the union bolt and gasket and disconnect the pressure feed tube.

  4. REMOVE DRIVE BELT 

    Using SST, loosen the 2 bolt ("A" and "B"), and remove the drive belt.

    1. SST 09249-63010
  5. REMOVE PS VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using SST, loosen the bolt "A" sufficiently so that pump assembly can be removed.
      1. SST 09249-63010
    2. Remove the bolt "B" and PS vane pump assembly.

    HINT:

    Bolt "A" cannot be removed.
