Power Steering Vane Pump: Removal
- DISCONNECT RETURN HOSE
Remove the clip and disconnect the return hose.
NOTE: Take care not to spill fluid on the drive belt. - REMOVE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the oil pressure switch from the union bolt.
NOTE: Be careful not to drop the oil pressure switch.If the oil pressure switch is dropped or strongly damaged, replace it with a new one.
- DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE
Remove the union bolt and gasket and disconnect the pressure feed tube.
- REMOVE DRIVE BELT
Using SST, loosen the 2 bolt ("A" and "B"), and remove the drive belt.
- SST 09249-63010
- REMOVE PS VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY
- Using SST, loosen the bolt "A" sufficiently so that pump assembly can be removed.
- SST 09249-63010
- Remove the bolt "B" and PS vane pump assembly.
HINT:
Bolt "A" cannot be removed.
- Using SST, loosen the bolt "A" sufficiently so that pump assembly can be removed.
