Back Door: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE UPPER BACK DOOR WINDOW PANEL TRIM 
    1. Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and up per back door window panel trim to pry the trim.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the high-mounted stop light from the upper back door window panel trim.

  2. REMOVE UPPER BACK DOOR TRIM 

    Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and upper back door trim to pry the trim.

    HINT:

    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVERS 

    Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and back door trim cover to pry the cover.

    HINT:

    • Do the same for LH and RH.
    • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD 

    Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and back door trim board to pry the trim board.

    HINT:

    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM 

    Remove the nut and rear wiper arm.

  6. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR 
    1. Remove the nut and washer on the outer side of back door panel.
    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Loosen the 3 bolts and remove the rear wiper motor.

  7. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHTS 

    HINT:

    Do the same for LH and RH.

    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 4 nuts, combination light and packing.
  8. REMOVE KEY CYLINDER 
    1. Disconnect the connector and link.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and key cylinder.

  9. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK CONTROL 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and back door lock control.
    2. Disconnect the cable.

  10. REMOVE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR 
    1. Disconnect the link from the door lock.
    2. Remove the 2 nuts and door lock actuator.
    3. Disconnect the connector.

  11. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and back door lock.
  12. REMOVE LICENSE LIGHT COVERS 

    Remove the 2 screws and 2 license light covers.

  13. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and outside handle.
    2. Remove the nut.
    3. Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and back door garnish to pry the garnish.
  14. REMOVE BACK DOOR PULL HANDLE
