Inspection Procedure

- DISPLAY CHECK MODE
- Perform display check.
- Set up diagnosis system and read result of display vehicle check mode.
STANDARD: Input signal is normal (TAIL)
OK: Go To Step 5
NG: Go To Next Step
- INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSY (ILL+, GND)
- Check voltage.
- Measure voltage between terminals ILL+ and GND of radio receiver assy at each conditions, as shown in the chart.
STANDARDHeadlight dimmer switch position condition OFF 0V TAIL or HEAD 10 - 14V OK: CHECK AND REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY
NG: Go To Next Step
- INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSY (ILL-, GND)
- Check continuity.
- Check that the continuity exists between terminals ILL- and GND of radio receiver assy and body ground.
Standard: Continuity exists.
OK: CHECK AND REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY
NG: Go To Next Step
- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (See OPERATING LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT DOES NOT CHANGE LIGHT BRIGHTNESS
)
OK: CHECK AND REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- INSPECT DISPLAY
- Check the screen display.
- Check that the screen dimmed by turning the headlight dimmer switch to ON.
STANDARD: The screen dimming function is normal
NG: CHECK AND REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY
OK: Go To Next Step
- CHECK SETTING
- Check the settings.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Turn the power switch of the radio receiver assy ON to display the map.
- Operate the radio receiver assy, and check that "The color of night screen is standard" is set at the navigation condition setting.
STANDARD: The setting is normal
NG: THE SETTING IS ABNORMAL
OK: CHECK AND REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU
