Inspection Procedure

  1. Check Setting (The Volume Of The Navigation Sound) 
    1. Check the settings
      1. Set the volume MAX at the voice sound settings on the menu.

      Standard: Vocalize "This system will guide you in the volume" 

    NOTE:
    • In the following cases, no voice sound guidance is made even if the system is normal.
    • When the destination is not set.
    • When not running on the rout (the remaining distance at the left bottom on the present point is not displayed)
    • When "other modes guidance" is not set (voice sound guidance is made only on the map screen)
    1. OK: Normal (Recheck The Operation) 
    2. NG: Go To Next Step 
  2. Inspect Navigation ECU (AUO+/-, GND) 
    1. Check signal waveform.
      1. Using an oscilloscope, check signal waveform between terminals AUO+, AUO- and GND of navigation ECU.

      Standard:

    1. NG: Check And Replace Navigation ECU 
    2. OK: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector 
  3. Inspect Front No. 1 Speaker Assembly 
    1. Check continuity.
      1. Check that the continuity exists between terminals of front No. 1 speaker.

      Standard: 2 - 8 ohms 

    1. NG: Replace Front No. 1 Speaker Assembly 
    2. OK: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector
