CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

In this system, the HALL IC in the moon roof control ECU detects changes in the motor rotation to allow opening/closing and tilting up/down of the moon roof using one touch operation. Additionally, catching prevention mechanism during moon roof operation is also provided.

Voltage is always applied from the S/ROOF (25-amp) fuse, located in the passenger side junction block, to terminal No. 5 of the moon roof control ECU. When the ignition switch is turned to ON, the voltage is applied from the ECU-IG (15-amp) fuse, located in the driver side junction block, to terminal No. 8 of the moon roof control ECU.
