Inspection Procedure

  1. Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3. See Figure. Check the license plate light using ACTIVE TEST. If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX (BODY NO. 4 CONTROL SYSTEM)  table. If the results are not good, go to the next step.
  2. Check the LCE LP fuse (7.5-amp) located in the luggage room junction block. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace fuse.
  3. Check the license plate light bulb. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the failure light bulb.
  4. Check the wiring harness and connector between each license plate light and the luggage room junction block (body No. 4) ECU, battery and each license plate light. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX (BODY NO. 4 CONTROL SYSTEM)  table. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
