Inspection Procedure

  1. Check if trouble occurs in the service area or outside service area. 

    CHECK: 

    Check if trouble occurs in the service area or outside service area.

    RESULT: 

    A: Trouble occurs in the service area. 

    B: Trouble occurs in the outside service area. 

    1. B: Check and operate again in the service area. 
    2. A: Go to next step. 
  2. Check transceiver. 

    CHECK: 

    Check that the malfunction disappears when known good transceiver is installed.

    RESULT: 

    A: Malfunction does not disappear. 

    B: Malfunction disappears. 

    1. B: Replace transceiver. 
    2. A: Go to next step. 
  3. Check telephone antenna. 

    CHECK: 

    Check that malfunction disappears when a good antenna and telephone antenna cable a installed.

    RESULT: 

    A: Malfunction does not disappear. 

    B: Malfunction disappears. 

    1. B: Repair or replace telephone antenna cable or antenna 
    2. A: Go to next step. 
  4. Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between transceiver and telephone ECU (Mayday ECU) (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Check and replace telephone ECU (Mayday ECU) (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
