Steering Pad Switch LH: Replacement

- SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2 (See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3 (See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
- REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
- REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH (W/O STEERING PAD SWITCH RH)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Disconnect the connector of cruise control main switch.
- Remove the screw.
- Disengage the meshing of 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch LH.
- REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH (W/ STEERING PAD SWITCH RH)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Disconnect the connector of cruise control main switch.
- Remove the screw.
- Remove the clamp.
- Disengage the meshing of 2 pins and release the steering pad switch LH from steering wheel.
- Release the tab of steering pad switch cable from steering pad switch LH shown in Fig 5 .
- Disengage the 2 claws as shown in Fig 6 and open the latch on the top of the connector.
- Pull out of the connector while pinching the latch with fingers and disconnect the steering pad switch cable from the steering pad switch LH.

- INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY (See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
