    1. Disconnect the T6 theft warning ECU connector, and check the voltage and continuity of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard:

      THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY CONNECTOR CONTINUITY AND VOLTAGE CHECK

      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring color Condition Specified condition
      +B1 (T5-2) <--> Body ground W-R <--> - Constant 10 - 14 V
      IG (T5-14) <--> E (T5-11) B-R <--> W-B Ignition switch is turned to position OFF --> ON 0 V --> 10 - 14 V
      E (T5-11) <--> Body ground W-B <--> - Constant Continuity
      SH (T5-24) <--> Body ground L-W <--> - Constant 10 - 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    2. Reconnect the T6 theft warning ECU connector, and check the voltage of each terminal of the connector.

      Standard:

      THEFT WARNING ECU CONNECTOR TERMINAL VOLTAGE CHECK

      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring color Condition Specified condition
      DSWH (T5-6) <-->E (T5-11) B <-->W-B Engine hood courtesy switch (Engine hood opened) OFF (closed) -->ON (Opend) 10 - 14 V -->0 V
      KSW (T5-4) <-->E (T5-11) L <-->W-B Key unlock warning switch (Key inserted) OFF (closed) -->ON (Opend) 10 - 14 V --> 0V
      IND (T5-12) <-->E (T5-11) V <-->W-B During set preparation 3 - 5 V (Waveform)
      SH- (T5-25) <-->Body ground W <-->Body ground Alarm sounding state 10 - 14 V --> 0 V (Waveform)

      If the result is not as specified, the theft warning ECU may be defective.

  2. CHECK INSTRUMENT PANEL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY (BODY ECU) (LEFT SIDE)
    Fig 2: Identifying Instrument Panel Side Junction Block Assy (Body ECU) (Left Side)

    1. Disconnect the B7 and B8 body ECU connector, and check the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard:

      WIRE HARNESS SIDE CONNECTOR TERMINAL VOLTAGE CHECK

      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring color Condition Specified condition
      DCTY (B8-1)<-->Body ground R-G <-->- Driver's door courtesy switch OFF (driver's door closed) -->ON (driver's door opened) 10 - 14 V -->0 V
      PCTY (B7-11)<-->Body ground R-G <-->- Passenger's door courtesy switch OFF (passenger's closed) -->ON (passenger's opened) 10 - 14 V -->0 V
      LGCY (B8-6)<-->Body ground G <-->- Luggage door courtesy switch OFF (luggage door closed) -->ON (luggage door opened) 10 - 14 V -->0 V

      If the result is not as specified, the body ECU may be defective.

    2. CHECK INSTRUMENT PANEL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY (BODY ECU) (REAR SIDE)
      Fig 3: Identifying Instrument Panel Side Junction Block Assy (Body ECU) (Rear Side)

      1. Inspect the ECU-B fuse.
      2. Disconnect the 2F instrument panel junction block connector, and check the voltage and continuity of each terminal of the disconnected connector.

        Standard:

        2F INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK CONNECTOR TERMINAL VOLTAGE AND CONTINUITY CHECK

        Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring color Condition Specification
        B (2F-7) <-->Body ground R <-->- Constant 10 - 14 V

        If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

      3. Reconnect the 2F instrument panel J/B connector, and check the voltage of each terminal of the connectors.

        Standard:

        2F INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B CONNECTOR TERMINAL VOLTAGE AND CONTINUITY

        Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring color Condition Specification
        RCTY (2K-7)<-->Body ground R-W <-->- Rear left door courtesy switch OFF (rear left door closed) -->ON (rear left door opend) 10 - 14 V -->0 V
        RCTY (2S-3)<-->Body ground R-W <-->- Rear right door courtesy switch OFF (rear right door closed) -->ON (rear right door opend) 10 - 14 V -->0 V

        If the result is not as specified, the vehicle may be defective. In this case, check the harness, connector and fuse between the ECU and battery. Then repair or replace it if necessary.
