Inspection Procedure

- CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK FUNCTIONS
- Check that the wireless door lock functions by the operation of the transmitter switch.
HINT:
If the wireless door LOCK/UNLOCK operation can be performed, it means that the wireless instruction from the transmitter is properly input to the theft warning ECU.
- NG: GO TO FLOW CHART OR PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See ONLY WIRELESS CONTROL FUNCTION IS INOPERATIVE )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- CHECK OUTPUTS OF HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS
- Check that the turn signal lights are blinking when the hazard warning signal switch is pressed.
- NG: GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- USE HAND-HELD TESTER
- NO: Go to step 5 (NOT USING TESTER)
- YES: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Enter into the active test using the hand-held tester.
- Check that the wireless buzzer sounds by the active test.
Standard:
- OK: REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY
- NG: Go to step 6
- INSPECT WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER
- Check the continuity between each terminal of the buzzer.

Standard:
NOTE: Since the circuit to sound the buzzer is built in the theft warning computer, applying battery voltage directly to the buzzer does not sound the buzzer.- NG: REPLACE WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- Check the continuity between each terminal of the buzzer.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (THEFT WARNING ECU <=> WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER)
- Disconnect the connectors of the wire harness door lock buzzer and the theft warning ECU.
- Check the continuity between the wireless door lock buzzer connector (W3) and the theft warning connector (T7).
Standard:
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS
- OK: CHECK AND REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY
