Oil Pump Seal: Replacement
- REMOVE TIMING BELT, see TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT .
- REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY
- Using SST, remove the crankshaft timing pulley.
SST 09950-50012 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05010)
NOTE: Do not turn the timing pulley. - Using SST, remove the crankshaft timing pulley.
- REMOVE OIL PUMP SEAL
- Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.
- Using a screwdriver with taping its tip, pry out the oil seal.
- After the removal, check if the crankshaft is not damaged. If it is damaged, mend it with a sandpaper (#400).
- INSTALL OIL PUMP SEAL
- Apply MP grease to a new oil seal lip.NOTE: Keep the lip off foreign materials.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the oil pump edge.

NOTE:- Wipe off extra grease on the crankshaft.
- Be careful not to tap the oil seal slantingly.
- Apply MP grease to a new oil seal lip.
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY
- Align the timing pulley set key with the key groove of the pulley.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing pulley, facing the flange side inward.
