Diagnosis & Testing: Pre-Check
- Release parking brake pedal.
- Check warning lights and indicator lights. When ignition switch is turned on, check that ABS, BRAKE and VSC TRAC warning lights, VSC OFF, SLIP and ACTIVE TRAC indicator lights turn on for 3 seconds. See Fig 1.
- When depressing brake pedal repeatedly it may turn on ABS, VSC TRAC and BRAKE warning lights, and VSC OFF indicator light and buzzer.
- If ABS ECU stores DTC, ABS , VSC TRAC and BRAKE warning lights illuminate and VSC OFF indicator light is on.
- If indicator check result is not normal, perform appropriate test. See SYSTEM TESTING .
