Anti-Theft System
The system sounds the horns and flashes the headlights and the taillights for approximately 1 minute when the system is set to the anti-theft mode and any of the following conditions are met:
- Any of the doors (including the engine hood) is unlocked or opened without the key (only in active arming mode) or remote keyless entry.
- The battery terminal is disconnected and reconnected.
- The system receives a panic signal from the remote keyless entry (when the ignition key is not inserted in the key cylinder.
There are 2 modes in this system, which are active mode and passive mode. All initial setting is performed in active mode. It can be switched to passive mode by specified operation. See PASSIVE MODE CHANGING METHOD .
The 4 conditions in this system are:
- Disarming Condition
- When the alarming function does not operate.
- When anti-theft function is not performed.
- Disarming Preparation Condition
- Time until transferring to disarming condition.
- Anti-theft function is not performed.
- Arming Condition
When anti-theft function is possible. - Alarming Condition
Once theft is detected, light and sound are used to inform people around the vehicle.- Alarming method is horn, security horn, headlight and taillight.
- Alarming time is 60 seconds.
- Alarming output is a continuous 0.25 seconds when ON and 0.25 seconds when OFF.
