Inspection Procedure

  1. Check the door lock relay. See POWER DOOR LOCKS & LIFTGATE article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the door lock relay located in the LH cowl side junction block behind the left kick panel.
  2. Check the door lock motor. See POWER DOOR LOCKS & LIFTGATE article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the door lock motor. POWER DOOR LOCKS & LIFTGATE article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
  3. Check the wiring harness and connector between the door lock motor and body ECU. If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
