Inspection Procedure

NOTE: If there is not the LEXUS hand-held tester, begin with STEP  2.
  1. Perform active test. 
    1. PREPARATION:  Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. CHECK: 
      1. Enter ACTIVE TEST function of the LEXUS hand-held tester.
      2. Check that the probe moves as the LEXUS hand-held tester directs in each range.
        1. OK:  The meter operates normally.
    1. OK:  Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLES ).
    2. NG:  Go to next step.
  2. Check speedometer (See  COMBINATION METER - LS 430  article). 
    1. NG:  Replace speedometer.
    2. OK:  Go to next step.
  3. Check circuit plate (See  COMBINATION METER - LS 430  article). 
    1. NG:  Replace circuit plate.
    2. OK:  Check and replace combination meter.
