Engine Identification

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

NOTE: When servicing engine, reference to right and left refers to engine sides as viewed from rear of engine (drive plate end).

Engine serial number is stamped on side of cylinder block. See Fig 1.
