Inspection Procedure

  1. Check noise. 
    1. Alternator noise Whistling noise which becomes high-pitched when accelerator strongly depressed, disappears shortly after engine stops.
    2. A/C noise Whining noise occurs when A/C is operating.
    3. Fuel gauge noise Scratching noise occurs during sudden acceleration, driving on rough roads or when ignition switch is turned ON.
    4. Horn noise Clicking sound is heard when horn button is pressed, then released. Whirring/grating sound is heard when pushed continuously.
    5. Ignition noise Murmuring sound stops when engine stops.
    6. Turn signal noise Tick-tack noise occurs in co-ordination with blinking off flasher.
    7. Washer noise Noise occurs during window washer operation.
    8. Water temp gauge noise Scratching noise occurs while engine is running, and continues a while even after engine stops.
    9. Wiper noise Scraping noise in line with wiper beat.

    RESULT: 

    Noise is produced. 

    1. YES: Each system faulty. 
    2. NO: Go to next step.
