According to DATA LIST displayed by hand-held tester, it is possible to read the value of various items without parts removal. Reading DATA LIST as a first step of troubleshooting is one method to shorten labor time. Ensure vehicle is on a flat surface. Connect hand-held tester to (DLC3), turn ignition on and read "DATA LIST". See Fig 1.
