Fwd Axle Shafts: Description
ES300 uses inner and outer CV joints. On the right side, an inboard and outboard axle shaft is used, supported by a bearing. See Fig 1. The inner CV joint is a cross-groove type joint. The outer CV joint is a Rzeppa type joint. CV joints are enclosed by CV joint boots, which maintain lubrication and prevent contaminants from entering joints.
