Compressor Clutch Test

  1. Unplug compressor clutch connector. Apply battery voltage to Blue wire at compressor clutch connector. Connect negative lead to ground. If compressor clutch does not engage, repair or replace compressor clutch.
  2. If compressor clutch engages, inspect wiring and connectors between compressor clutch relay and compressor. Repair as necessary. If harness and connectors are okay, test A/C pressure switch. See DTC 23: PRESSURE SWITCH CIRCUIT  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS.
