Compressor Clutch Relay Check

  1. Remove compressor clutch relay from relay block No. 2, located in engine compartment. Ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1. Continuity should not exist between terminals No. 3 and 5.
  2. Apply battery voltage to relay terminal No. 1, and connect terminal No. 2 to ground. Continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and 5. If continuity is not as specified, replace compressor clutch relay. If continuity is as specified, perform ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) CIRCUIT VOLTAGE CHECK .
