Parking Brake Switch

  1. Check for continuity between parking brake switch body and switch mounting. If continuity is not present, clean mounting area between switch and mounting (poor ground). If continuity is present, disconnect electrical connector from switch.
  2. Check for continuity between ground and connector terminal. With parking brake released, continuity should not be present. With parking brake applied, continuity should be present. If continuity is not as specified, replace parking brake switch.
