Speedometer (Accuracy Check)
NOTE:
The following test procedure checks speedometer accuracy. Incorrect tire size, wear and under/over inflation will effect test results and must be checked prior to testing. If speedometer is inoperative, test speedometer assembly. See GAUGES .
Using speedometer tester, compare actual vehicle speed to speedometer indication. If speedometer indication is outside allowable range, replace speedometer. See SPEEDOMETER ACCURACY SPECIFICATIONS table.
