With Ignition Turned Off, Power Window Is Inoperative
NOTE:
Power windows can be operated for up to 43 seconds after ignition is turned to OFF position. If any door is opened during the 43-second time period, power window operation is stopped.
- Ensure driver's courtesy light switch operates correctly. If driver's courtesy light operates correctly, go to next step. If courtesy light switch does not operate correctly, repair as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Remove instrument ECU and remove 22-pin connector. With driver's door open, check for continuity between instrument ECU harness connector terminal No. 14 and ground. See Fig 1. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open in Light Blue wire between instrument ECU and driver's courtesy light switch ground point. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Connect instrument ECU 22-pin connector. Open driver's door. Turn ignition switch from ON to OFF position. Measure voltage by backprobing between instrument ECU 14-pin harness connector terminal No. 6 and ground. See Fig 1. Voltage should be 10-14 volts. If voltage is not as specified, repair open in Light Blue wire between instrument ECU and power main relay. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
