Light Failure Sensor Circuit

Disconnect light failure sensor 12-pin harness connector located in trunk compartment. See Fig 1. Check for continuity or voltage between ground and specified terminals. See LIGHT FAILURE SENSOR CIRCUIT TEST  table. If values are as specified, replace light failure sensor. If values are not as specified, check and repair wiring harness as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .

LIGHT FAILURE SENSOR CIRCUIT TEST

1 Always (1) Continuity
2 Always (1) Continuity
5 Light Control Switch: OFF No Voltage
5 Light Control Switch: TAIL Or HEAD Battery Voltage
6 Always (1) Continuity
7 Always (1) Continuity
8 Ignition Switch: LOCK Or ACC No Voltage
8 Ignition Switch: ON Battery Voltage
9 Stoplight Switch: OFF No Voltage
9 Stoplight Switch: ON Battery Voltage
10 Stoplight Switch: OFF No Voltage
10 Stoplight Switch: ON Battery Voltage
11 Always (1) Continuity
12 Always (1) Continuity
(1) Continuity is present due to bulb in circuit.
