Description & Operation

The body control system controls the following systems: power door locks, remote keyless entry (wireless controls), anti-theft, seat belt warning indicators, defoggers, shift lock control, automatic light control and illuminated entry.

The body control system consists of 2 separate Electronic Control Units (ECUs). Body control ECU No. 1 controls the following systems: power door locks, remote keyless entry (wireless controls), anti-theft, passenger's seat belt warning indicator and rear window defogger. Body control ECU No. 2 controls the following systems: shift lock control, automatic light control, illuminated entry, driver seat belt warning indicator and clock. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
