Ignition Power & Ground Circuits

  1. Turn ignition on. Inspect HEATER fuse, in fuse block, at driver's side kick panel. If fuse is okay, go next step. If fuse is blown, correct cause and replace fuse.
  2. Remove console upper panel. Remove A/C control assembly, leaving harness connectors connected. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, backprobe between connector terminals A14-26 (Blue/Black wire) and A14-14 (White/Black wire). See Figure. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, circuit is okay.
  3. Turn ignition off. Unplug A/C control assembly connector. Inspect Blue/Black wire between connector A14-26 terminal and HEATER fuse for continuity or short to ground. Repair wire as necessary. If wire is okay, go to next step.
  4. Measure resistance between terminal A14-14 (White/Black wire) and ground. If resistance is less than one ohm, wire is okay. Repair open White/Black wire if resistance is not less than one ohm.
