Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

  1. Open and close each door, one at a time, while observing door courtesy light operation. Light should illuminate each time a door is opened, and go out when all doors are closed. If door courtesy light operates as specified, go to next step. If door courtesy light does not operate as specified, repair or replace wire harness and connectors between door courtesy switch and anti-theft ECU.
  2. Check circuits for faults between door courtesy switch and anti-theft ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. If circuits are okay, check anti-theft ECU pin voltages. See ANTI-THEFT ECU PIN VOLTAGE TESTS  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace components as necessary and retest system operation. Proceed to next test listed in SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS  table under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
