Anti-Theft Indicator Circuit

  1. Anti-theft indicator is built into A/C-heater control assembly. Remove A/C-heater control assembly. See appropriate AUTOMATIC A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS article in AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING. Disconnect indicator light connector. Connect battery voltage to indicator light connector. If light comes on, go to next step. If light does not come on, replace bulb.
  2. Check Red/Yellow wire between anti-theft ECU and indicator light for an open circuit or short to ground. Repair wiring as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuits are okay, check anti-theft ECU pin voltages. See ANTI-THEFT ECU PIN VOLTAGE TESTS  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace components as necessary and retest system operation. Proceed to next test listed in SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS  table under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
