Line Pressure Test
- Move right side heat insulator aside (if applicable). Remove plug from transmission case and install appropriate pressure gauge.
- Remove passenger side carpet and protector to gain access to ECT ECU. Backprobe ECT ECU harness connector No. E17 (17-pin), terminal No. 14 (SLT-). Connect a jumper lead with an 8 watt in-line bulb to terminal 14 (SLN-) of harness connector. DO NOT ground jumper at this time.
- Apply parking brake. Block wheels. Start engine. Ensure idle speed is within manufacturer's specification. Place transmission in "D" range.
- Measure accumulator backpressure. See ACCUMULATOR BACKPRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS table. Repeat procedure with jumper lead connected to ground. Compare all readings to specification.
