System Parameters: Self-Diagnostics

If a system fault occurs, ECM stores a diagnostic code that can be retrieved to aid in diagnosis. If any of following manual functions occur, cruise control is canceled.

• Cruise main switch is turned off.
• CANCEL switch is turned on.
• Brake pedal is pressed.
• Vehicle Skid Control (VSC) is activated.

If any of following conditions occurs, cruise control is canceled.

• Failure in stoplight switch circuit.
• Failure of Vehicle Speed Signal (VSS) circuit.
• Electronically controlled throttle system malfunction.
