Engine Hood Courtesy Switch

  1. Disconnect engine hood courtesy switch 2-pin connector. See Figure. Check continuity between switch connector terminals. With switch in off position (engine hood opened), continuity should exist.
  2. With switch in on position (engine hood closed), continuity should not exist. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified. If continuity is as specified, repair or replace wire harness and connectors between engine hood courtesy switch, body ECU and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
