Rheostat Light Control

NOTE: Rheostat and rheostat light control are separate components. Rheostat is an electronic module that receives signals from rheostat light control (control wheel).

Remove instrument cluster. Remove rheostat light control. Check resistance between rheostat light control connector terminals No. 4 (White wire) and No. 5 (White/Black wire). See Fig 1. Resistance should decrease from 10 ohms to 0 ohms when knob is turned clockwise. If resistance is not as specified, replace rheostat light control.
