Test 18: Seat Belt Warning Light Problem

  1. Check GAUGE fuse. Replace as needed. Disconnect connector "D". Turn ignition on. Check voltage at connector "D" terminal No. 3. If voltage does not exist, repair open circuit between GAUGE fuse and connector "D" terminal No. 3. Reconnect connector "D". Disconnect connector "A". Ground connector "A" terminal No. 8. Turn ignition on. If seat belt warning light illuminates, go to next step. If seat belt warning light does not illuminate, check light bulb. Replace as needed. If bulb is okay, install a known good circuit plate and retest. If light still does not illuminate, replace instrument panel computer and retest.
  2. Check seat belt sensor circuit. See WARNING LIGHTS  under COMPONENT TESTS. Repair as needed. If seat belt sensor circuit is okay, check integration relay circuit. See INTEGRATION RELAY CIRCUIT  under COMPONENT TESTS. If circuit is okay, replace integration relay. Recheck system.
