Circuit Description

The CMP sensors (2) are pick-up coils (G1 and G2 signals) mounted next to 1-tooth signal plates in distributor. DTC is set when no CMP sensor signal is received by ECM with engine speed at 550 RPM or more sensor. Possible causes are:

• CMP sensor open or short circuit.
• CMP sensor.
• ECM.
