Removal (ES300)
- Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Disconnect throttle cable(s) from throttle body.
- Remove "V" bank cover. See Fig 1. Remove air cleaner cover, airflow meter and air cleaner hose. Label and disconnect vacuum hoses and wiring harness connectors as necessary. Remove emission control valve set.
- Disconnect 2 ground straps. Disconnect cold start injector connector. Disconnect cold start injector tube banjo bolt. Disconnect brake booster vacuum hose, power steering air hose and PCV hose.
- Remove engine hanger. Remove bolt, and disconnect air intake chamber stay from chamber. Remove EGR pipe. Remove 2 bolts, nuts, air intake chamber and gasket. Disconnect 6 injector connectors. Disconnect wire harness from left fuel rail.
- Disconnect fuel return hose from fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect fuel inlet hose from fuel filter. Remove 2 banjo bolts, 4 gaskets and fuel pipe. Remove fuel rails and injectors as an assembly. Pull injectors from fuel rail using a slight twisting motion.
