Washer Switch On Operation

  1. Connect positive lead (jumper wire) from battery to wiper relay terminal No. 2 and negative lead to terminal No. 7. See Figure. Connect voltmeter positive lead to wiper relay terminal No. 5 and negative lead to terminal No. 7.
  2. Connect negative lead from battery to wiper relay terminal No. 10. Ensure voltage rapidly changes from zero to battery voltage. Disconnect negative lead from wiper relay terminal No. 10. Ensure voltage changes back to battery voltage within 2.5 seconds. If voltage changes, go to RELAY CIRCUIT procedure. If voltage does not change, replace relay.
