Intermittent Wiper Operation

  1. Place wiper switch in INT position. Turn intermittent time control switch to FAST position. Connect battery voltage to terminal No. 18, and ground terminal No. 16 of 20-pin connector. Connect voltmeter to terminals No. 7 (+) and 16 (-) of 20-pin connector. See Figure. Battery voltage should be present.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between terminals No. 4 and 18 of 20-pin connector. Move probe from terminal No. 18 to terminal No. 16 while monitoring the voltage reading.
  3. With intermittent time control switch in FAST position, voltage should be zero for approximately 1.6 seconds and then battery voltage should be present. With intermittent time control switch in SLOW position, voltage should be zero for approximately 10.7 seconds and then battery voltage should be present. If operation is not as specified, replace switch.
